Short Stack recipe books- $14

Last year I used this as stocking stuffers for my entire family. It’s a little recipe book devoted to an ingredient, so you can pick and choose according to the recipients tastes. (Eggs, Tomatoes, Strawberries, Buttermilk, Grits, Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Honey, Plums, Corn, Apples, Brown Sugar, Lemons, and Prosciutto, Summer Squash, Peaches, Chickpeas)

 

Passes to SoFAB-$10-$20

Buy a pass or two, or eight! These passes would look great accompanied by a new cookbook, like perhaps Kit Wohl’s New Orleans Classic Celebrations ($16.95) to make it extra festive.  As a special addition, SoFAB magnets are $5 and keychains are $4.

Dishtowels- $20

Catstudio dishtowels are fantastic, fun presents perfect for bridal showers, wedding gifts, and housewarming parties. Honestly, any occasion. We have dishtowels for each of the 16 Southern states featured in the Museum, as well as New Orleans.

MOTAC Pocket Guide and shot glass- $12.95

The Museum of the American Cocktail Pocket Guide is easily our best on-line seller. Bar owners, bartenders, or your average cocktail enthusiast from around the world purchase these guides as they are compact and quintessential….and you can only find them here!

MOTAC Pocket Guides are $7.95, and a perfect addition is a MOTAC shot glass, which sells for $5. While you’re at it, you can always include a pass to SoFAB, which includes the Museum of the American Cocktail.

Vintage cookbooks- $2-$10

Put together a classic Southern cooking starter kit by checking out our ever changing variety of vintage cookbooks. The books may be used, but the recipes are timeless, and we almost always have well-loved copies of the cookbooks that started it all, like River Road Recipes, Charleston Receipts, and Creole Cookery.  Pair it with a roux spoon by local artist Paul Troyano ($30), for an extra touch!

We are also so proud to be home to a large collection of talented cookbook authors and food writers, and have hosted some top of the line author signings. We have autographed books by Poppy Tooker, Jyl Benson, John Besh, Liz Williams and The Lee Brothers. We are also thrilled to have copies of Cooking Up a Storm signed by both Judy Walker and Marcelle Bienvenu.
