The Rouses Culinary Innovation Center by Jenn-Air (aka the CIC or the SoFAB Kitchen) is loaded with fantastic appliances— built-in, counter top and hand-held— compliments of our many generous sponsors including Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Lodge, Microplane, Anolon and Wusthof. We are here to serve the many culinary entrepreneurs who rent our space to further their own businesses. Learn more about rental options here.
We're excited to show off a couple of new additions to the kitchen, including a beautiful new full sized freezer and brand-spanking new French door obsidian interior refrigerator from Jenn-Air. There's also a new set of wall ovens, seen here making some delicious Italian sausages. These ovens are so smart, they connect to your phone so you can preheat the oven from your office!
We are also excited to offer fresh shelving and a fresh new look in the main kitchen thanks to Nanou de Raczynski, our resident visionary. In the near future we look forward to opening the Gumbo Garden, which will feature a full outdoor kitchen and a garden space that will allow us to bring all of the outdoor aspects of Southern culinary culture to life. We're envisioning fish fries, butchery classes, barbecue classes, an herb and vegetable garden and so much more. We've already got the smoker from the famous Franklin Barbecue out there running everyday for Toups South!
