Is it Fall Yet?

I keep pushing for Fall to come. I know it's still too hot and too early in New Orleans terms, but the starting school year, the beginning of football season, the pictures of my Facebook friends in light jackets has me so full of anticipation. Here at The Pantry, we're getting you in the mood too, as we prepare and stock up on all our seasonal merchandise. We even themed our Kids in the Kitchen program this weekend to feature football food! Here are some of the things we have at the gift shop to help you get into the autumnal spirit:

The Southern Tailgating Cookbook ($30)- a great game day guide for transportable and tasty treats. It includes recipes from fans throughout the South, and is sure to inspire your own tailgates!

The Great NC BBQ Map ($9.99)- North Carolina is known for being home to two types of BBQ (vinegar and mustard), and has tons of roadside joints and restaurants to showcase that living history. This is a great gift for the NC transplant, or your own roadtrip! We've had folks come in and purchase this map to frame for their house!

Nola Foods BBQ Sauce ($5)- Chef Demietriek Scott of the recently opened Creole BBQ on Broad Street is available in 3 flavors: Fiya Water, WhooDoo BBQ, and Beer- Bee-Q!

If you're more interested in giving your meal a dry rub, think about our SoFAB Creole Spice Mix, just $5! The best part is, it's salt free so you and your heart can rest a little easier!

For that sweet tooth, we recently stocked (due to high demand), Leah's Pralines and have both traditional and creamy for $3 at the counter. We also restocked Sweet Southern, a little collection of classic desserts for only $5.95!

And finally, we have SoFAB branded travel mugs ($7.95) and 16 oz. ceramic mugs ($10) to carry around your cider, hot chocolate, coffee, or pumpkin spiced concoction.

We'd love to see you at The Pantry, which you can peruse without museum admission. Come on by!
