Time-Life's series Foods of the World is always a big seller. Right now we have The Cooking of China, The Cooking of Scandinavia, American Cooking, and The Cooking of Provencal France. Titles in this series have many, many photos and great historical/cultural background on the area covered. Each volume has a glossary, and an a recipe index in both English and the relevant language.
