The Southern Food and Beverage Museum is pleased to begin its new weekly lunch demonstrations conducted by SoFAB staff, open to the public with special appeal to visitors to the area who are interested in New Orleans' distinctive culinary culture. Offered in the state-of-the-art Rouses Culinary Innovation Center by Jenn-Air, these demonstrations are an in-depth look into how to create delicious traditional dishes that are then served to participants for lunch. The city's indigenous cuisine can be found nowhere else in the world. Join us and take the secrets of New Orleans' flavors home to your kitchen.
The $40 standard menu includes:
- Fresh Tomato Salad with Creole Remoulade Sauce
- Creole Jambalaya with Chicken, Sausage and Vine-Ripened Tomatoes
- Bananas Foster with Vanilla Ice Cream
- French bread with butter
- Iced Tea
Admission to the Southern Food and Beverage Museum is included in the ticket price. Please purchase your tickets in advance so we can prepare for the correct number of attendees. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with 48 hours notice. Upon request specialty menus can be created for groups. There is a discount for SoFAB Members.
