On the eve of World Gin Day, join The Museum of the American Cocktail (MOTAC) for "Swan Songs & Juniper Tales: An Evening with Jared Brown." oin The Museum of the American Cocktail for "Swan Songs & Juniper Tales: An Evening with Jared Brown." Jared, a MOTAC co-founder and Master Distiller at Sipsmith Gin in London, will lead participants on an historical tour of gin and its use in cocktails. Guests will enjoy three gin drinks created by master bartender and Sipsmith Brand Ambassador Leilani Vella and neat pours of Sipsmith's signature spirits, including London Dry Gin, V.J.O.P. (Very Junipery Over Proof) Gin, and Sloe Gin, plus a surprise or two! Admission includes gourmet small bites courtesy the celebrated kitchen of Montage Beverly Hills.
Tickets are $35 for National Food & Beverage Foundation (NatFAB) and USBG members, $40 General Admission in advance, and $50 at the door (if available). NatFAB membership is available to all at natfab.org/membership

About the Distiller
Jared Brown and his wife, Anistatia Miller, are the directors of Mixellany Limited®, a consultancy and publishing company that specializes in anything and everything to do with spirits and mixed drinks. During the course of their 20+ year collaboration, Miller and Brown have written more than 30 books, including Shaken Not Stirred®: A Celebration of the Martini, Champagne Cocktails, Cuban Cocktails, The Mixellany Guide to Vermouth & Other Aperitifs, and their latest title The Deans of Drink.
Brown is a co-founder of The Museum of the American Cocktail with Dale and Jill DeGroff. He co-curated a three-year project in the south of France, restoring Exposition Universelle des Vins et Spiritueux, a museum of wines and spirits founded in 1958, and cataloguing the 8000+ bottles, 1200 menus, and other antiquities in the collection.
This former bartender also practices what he preaches. Brown is Master Distiller for the multi-award winning Sipsmith Distillery, the first newly-licensed, pot-still distillery to open in London in over 180 years, which won the prestigious 2010 Observer Food Monthly Best Newcomer Award and a 2011 Gold Medal from the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
