ABOUT THE BRAND

Broken Barrel Logo (1).png

Formerly titled Infuse Spirits, we’ve chosen to separate our whiskey line under the aptly named Broken Barrel Whiskey. While the two brands were born of similar origin, Broken Barrel’s message and methods became unique and distinct from those of Infuse Spirits. Our whiskey follows its own path and honors its principles of originality, boundary crossing, and unapologetic authenticity. Under the Broken Barrel name, several new exciting whiskeys are coming out this year, beginning with the long-awaited Single Oak Series, debuting in September 2019.

ABOUT THE SINGLE OAK SERIES WHISKEYS

The Single Oak Series features three distinct blends of American whiskey, each of which is finished with oak staves harvested from broken barrels from around the world. The First Edition of this new series features the following.

Mizunara: 4- & 5-year-old Blended Corn Whiskey finished with unused Japanese Mizunara oak staves. A true East-meets-West, bourbon-style whiskey that combines American corn with Japanese oak—an uncommon alchemy not often encountered! 50% ABV | 100 Proof

The Cask of Amontillado: A rare blend of 12-year-old Light Whiskey (Indiana) cut with 5-year-old Corn Whiskey (Kentucky) for a unique base whiskey blend. Finished with the distinct taste of ancient Amontillado barrels, this whiskey embodies the dark, bloody story told by Edgar Allen Poe, delivering killer flavor, reminiscent of a cool, cold, dark crypt rich with an earthy, dark fruit flavor that is semi-sweet. This is one for the ages! 55% ABV | 110 Proof | Silver Medal - 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

Isle of Peat: A blend of Wheat and Single Malt American Whiskey finished with the unmistakable charred oak staves fresh from Islay Scotch whisky barrels. The Islay Scotch barrels impart their smoky finish into every drop of the delicious whiskey and leave a long-lasting finish that will leave you wanting more. 55% ABV | 110 Proof | Double Gold Medal - 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

ABOUT THE CORE WHISKEYS

Broken Barrel Bourbon: Our younger bourbon whiskey distilled in Owensboro, Kentucky, finished with a unique Oak Bill ™, a blend of 40% ex-bourbon staves, 40% French oak staves, and 20% sherry cask staves. This whiskey boasts an oak-forward nose with a sweet body, notes of vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar. A bouquet of dark fruit develop in the finish, and at 95 proof, this bourbon powers through in every cocktail, making it a perfect option for classic whiskey drinks. 47.5% ABV | 95 Proof | Silver Medal - 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

Broken Barrel Bourbon Cask Strength: The same great whiskey at 95 proof—made even greater at its unrestricted full strength of 116 proof. Distilled in Owensboro, Kentucky, finished with a unique Oak Bill ™, a blend of 40% ex-bourbon staves, 40% French oak staves, and 20% sherry cask staves. An uncompromising beast that won't back down, this bourbon delivers complex, rich flavors, slight sweetness, and a strong finish of charred oak and red wine. With hints of peach, yellow corn, and brown rice discernible at varying strengths, BBB-Cask Strength is recommended over ice. 58% ABV | 116 Proof | Silver Medal - 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

Heresy Rye Whiskey: Rye. Reimagined. Distilled in Owensboro, Kentucky, this Rye Whiskey is unlike any rye you’ve ever tasted. Charred French oak gives a woody body to the spirit, while ex-bourbon staves, still wet from the previous tenant, and sherry cask staves join forces to create a balanced and smooth taste and finish to this fiery rye. Just like our Broken Barrel Bourbon, we proudly contort this whiskey our way—and we’re not sorry about it. Call it sacrilegious, call it untraditional, call it heresy—we won’t be offended. Trust us, once you taste our rye, you may begin to question the tradition yourself. Think outside the barrel! 52.5% ABV | 105 Proof | Gold Medal - 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition
