Neither have most people, not even discriminating drinkers. On Tuesday, May 21, discover history's forgotten cocktails—and enjoy five of them!—with The Museum of the American Cocktail and Jonathan Pogash, aka The Cocktail Guru, Editor of the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Mr. Boston Official Bartender's Guide, a singular compendium of cocktail recipes from the 18th century to the present day. After the program, Jonathan will sign copies of this highly sought-after edition of what is arguably the most popular drinks book ever!

Admission includes a light buffet supper and cocktails crafted by master bartender Rhino Williams and the staff of Lost Property Bar & Kitchen, the acclaimed drinking emporium at the historic corner of Hollywood and Vine, just steps from the LA Metro Red Line.

Jonathan Pogash, aka “The Cocktail Guru™,” is one of the industry's leading cocktail consultants and bartenders for restaurants and spirit companies. His signature cocktails can be seen and enjoyed in many of North America’s upscale cocktail lounges and restaurants. With nearly 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry, Jonathan shares his insights in the most influential publications from around the world and contributes his unique talents to morning television shows and national radio broadcasts, having numberous programs, among them as NBC’s Weekend Today and Fox & Friends.

Just as an Executive Chef may work his/her way up through the ranks “behind the line,” Jonathan has worked his way up from being a barback at The Russian Tea Room in New York to Owner & President of “The Cocktail Guru™,” a well-respected, full-service beverage consulting firm. Jonathan was trained by cocktail luminaries Steve Olson, Gary Regan, Julie Reiner, and Albert Trummer. Over the years, a style emerged, that of a career bartender interested in studying technique, cocktail history, fresh ingredients, and seasonality. His inspiration lies in unique ingredients and quality, ensuring that every beverage program he creates remains consistent and thrives over time.
