Dive into bitter, sweet, rocks, and neat with food historian Linda Civitello, author of Cuisine and Culture: A History of Food and People. Whether you like your martinis shaken, stirred, or dirty, come get your Bond on with The Museum of the American Cocktail and the evening's Drinkmaster, Edwin Osegueda.

Admission includes gourmet appetizers and dessert.

Tickets are $40 in advance, $35 for SoFAB-MOTAC and USBG members, and $50 at the door. About the Presenters

Linda Civitello is the author of the award-winning book Cuisine and Culture: A History of Food and People. She has been on the faculty of culinary schools throughout southern California, appeared on TV and radio, and cooks professionally. You can hear her audiotour about food and art at the Getty Museum.

 

Edwin Osegueda is the Lead Bartender and Bar Manager of Faith & Flower. is an active cocktail enthusiast with experience in bars all over Los Angeles and Hollywood. Edwin spent most of his career with the mastermind duo, Allan Katz and Danielle Crouch at Cana, where he received an endless education in creating craft cocktails. Edwin spent the latter half of 2014 opening and running Tunnel Bar in Sherman Oaks, CA with Daniel Zacharczuk (The Varnish, Honeycut) where he introduced the Valley community to classic cocktails. He has also studied under Dave Kupchinsky (Eveleigh) at the retired Tarpit Bar. Edwin recently joined Faith & Flower where he spent time with Chief of Booze, Michael Lay, and helped kick-start the Downtown LA cocktail community. Edwin’s talents were quickly recognized and upon Mike’s departure, he was appointed to lead the bar program at Faith & Flower. He is excited to continue the development of Faith & Flower’s cocktail program and see his creations flourish.
