About the Chef
Chef Melissa Hinton is greatly inspired by a long lineage of cooks, including her grandmother, Delores Hinton. Chef Melissa fondly remembers and incorporates into her cooking the lessons from her grandmother who was a cook on the SS Natchez Steamboat in the 1970’s. She learned the art of food appeal as a station chef at one of her first professional chef gigs in the early days of the now world brand, Whole Foods, at only its sixth store ever opened. Her work spans throughout a number of luxury hotels and famed eats including the legendary Grill Room. Over the years, she has and still continues to receive accolades, including as a noted and honored chef at The Windsor Court Hotel.
