About the Chef
Janice Bourgeois Macomber, or “Boo” as she is affectionately called, has enjoyed serving her version of Cajun Cooking for decades to family and friends. Born in Abbeville, the heart of Louisiana Cajun Country, her method of cooking is influenced by her Sicilian mother, Cajun father, and patient sister! She also resided in the New Orleans French Quarter for years. Her unique style is a combination of Cajun, Italian, and New Orleans Creole.
Boo currently teaches at the New Orleans Cooking Experience, has been featured in the Coastal Living Magazine, Louisiana Cookin and quoted in the New York Times. She also has experience as a personal chef for the team of Andres Duany, an internationally known architect and Urban Planner.
