Join SoFAB to welcome Chef Ashleigh Martin of the El Paso Supper Club. She'll be demonstrating how to create simple, yet elegant dishes using seasonal vegetables you can find at Farmers' Markets this Spring.
Demonstration begins at 2 PM in the Rouses Culinary Innovation Center by Jenn-Air, samples are first come first serve. Free with museum admission.
About the Chef
Ashleigh Martin is a Texas-based Chef and published Recipe Writer. Her knives have taken her everywhere from Albuquerque to East Africa. Her passion for cooking began in high school during a short stint as a baker for a family-owned Italian restaurant in Virginia Beach, VA. After obtaining a business degree while playing chef for family and friends in her spare time, the restaurant industry quickly pulled her in again. She dove into the culinary world eager to learn, grabbing every food opportunity that presented itself including Sommelier, Sous Chef and even a gig cooking for the Emmy Award winning show, "House of Cards".
Chef Ashleigh received training under the direction of James Beard Award Winning Restaurateur and Chef, Cindy Wolf and Executive Chef Julian Marucci of Cinghiale in Baltimore, MD. Currently, she owns and operates gourmet dinner delivery service, El Paso Supper Club and is Founder and Creative Director of non-profit organization, Kitchen Little.
