The Delgado Community College Culinary Arts Program is the focus of a new exhibit that will become part of the permanent collections of the Southern Food & Beverage Museum. Videos of class demonstrations, student projects, and more from the program will showcase the amazing work and delicious flavors that have come out of Delgado over the past 97 years.
In addition to the exhibit, we're also celebrating the inclusion of the Culinary Arts Program on our National Culinary Heritage Register. Delgado opened in 1921, and the culinary program--then known as Commercial Cooking and Stewardship--was one part of the curriculum. Liz Williams, President of the National Food & Beverage Foundation, will present the Register Certificate to Pastry Instructor Angela Wilson at the opening reception.
Join us to celebrate the program and welcome the exhibit to the the museum!
