Join the Southern Food and Beverage Museum for an Absinthe and oyster celebration at Belle Epoque on Thursday, June, 13. Belle Epoque is a new Absinthe bar and experience venue above the Old Absinthe House. Belle Epoque’s Identity is inspired by la belle époque, the beautiful era in France, characterized by cultural innovation, optimism, and economic prosperity. This new bar and restaurant occupies the former Tony Moran's restaurant at 238 bourbon street.
Belle Epoque’s parlors, balconies, courtyard, and bars are full of Absinthe history, and the team from Belle Epoque will be on hand to demonstrate traditional absinthe service. We’ll also feature an oyster bar of freshly shucked gulf oysters. Belle Epoque offers an incredible menu of french-inspired classic cocktails, absinthes of all types and colors, and balconies over Bourbon Street to take in the French Quarter sights and sounds. Each ticket includes all you can eat oysters, open bar, charcuterie boards and other snacks and refreshments.
This event will also be your first chance to meet the Museum’s new President and CEO, Brent Rosen. He’ll be on hand to talk about the future of the museum and is excited to meet many members of the museum family. Members of the NatFAB Board from all over the United States will in attendance as well. Get to know the Museum’s leadership and celebrate completion of the Gumbo Garden Project.
