Due to a scheduling conflict, Chef Ashon Ruffins will not be demonstrating this weekend. We're working with him to reschedule and will post as soon as we have a new date finalized.
Join the Southern Food & Beverage Museum to welcome Ashon Ruffins, one of SoFAB's Culinary Entrepreneurs and chef, owner and operator of Taylor Made Wings On The Geaux, for a demonstration. Ruffins's food truck and catering business serves delicious wings and sides around New Orleans.
The program begins at 1 PM in the Rouses Culinary Innovation Center by Jenn-Air, samples are first come first serve. Free with museum admission.
About the Chef
Ashon Ruffins, a New Orleans native, served 8 years in the Army and 5 years as a New Orleans Police Officer after receiving a master's degree in business management. "With one of my true passions in culinary arts I begin to teach myself some of the intricacies in cooking, specifically in sauces. I later had my daughter, Taylor, and asked myself 'How can I encourage her to follow her dreams if I was too scared to follow my own?' So, I quit my job and opened up Taylor Made Wings On The Geaux food truck and catering. Since then, the popularity of our flavor has taken off and our wings are now one of the most popular wings in the city!"
