Founder of Umami Burger and Newly Elected Chairman of the National Food & Beverage Foundation Issues Challenge to Support the Pacific Food & Beverage Museum

Adam Fleischman, newly elected Chairman of the National Food & Beverage Foundation (NatFAB) and Founder of Umami Burger, as well as originator of several other fast casual dining concepts, has issued a financial challenge to anyone who eats, drinks, and loves the idea that the new Pacific Food & Beverage Museum (PacFAB), opening this spring in Los Angeles, will document and celebrate the culinary culture of the American West, Pacific Coast, and beyond. Fleischman will match, on a one-to-one basis, all tax-deductible contributions to PacFAB up to $25,000. In addition to the satisfaction of helping establish a brand new Southern California cultural institution, donors who give $250 and above will enjoy the benefits of NatFAB membership, including the following.*

  • Free admission to all NatFAB collections in Los Angeles and New Orleans.
  • Discounts on gift store purchases and a broad range of diverse programming, including curated dinners, cooking and cocktail classes, wine and spirits tastings and seminars, and more.
  • Access to culinary tours that explore the wide world of food and drink.

All donors will receive an invitation to PacFAB's opening weekend festivities!

The National Food & Beverage Foundation (NatFAB) is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural enterprise. It documents and celebrates the food and drink of all cultures through exhibits, programming, and a range of media. Because everyone eats, all aspects of food and drink—culture and geography, anthropology and history, economics and politics, law and policy, media and the arts, science and technology—reveal the state of the world. NatFAB, home to the Southern Food & Beverage Museum (SoFAB), Pacific Food & Beverage Museum, (PacFAB), The Museum of the American Cocktail (MOTAC),) the John & Bonnie Boyd Hospitality & Culinary Library, Nitty Grits Media, and the National Culinary Heritage Register, is among the nation's most comprehensive cultural institutions studying food and drink.
